By accessing and using Georgia State Roleplay ("GSRP", "we", "us", or "our") community forum and related services, you ("User", "you", or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue use of our services immediately.

2.1 Discord Membership

To use our services, you must be an active member of our Discord server and have the required verified role. We verify your Discord membership and roles during authentication. If you are removed from the Discord server or lose the required role, your access to our services may be suspended or terminated.

2.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access to your account. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account, whether authorized by you or not.

2.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms, community rules, or for any other reason we deem necessary to protect our community and services.

3. Community Conduct and Rules

All users are expected to follow our community rules and maintain respectful behavior. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

3.1 Prohibited Conduct

• Harassment and Discrimination: Harassing, bullying, threatening, or discriminating against any user based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic is strictly prohibited.
• Toxicity: Engaging in toxic behavior, including trolling, flaming, or intentionally disrupting the community experience, is not tolerated.
• Exploitation: Exploiting bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in our services for personal gain or to harm others is prohibited.
• Impersonation: Impersonating other users, staff members, or any other person or entity is prohibited.
• Spam and Unauthorized Advertising: Sending unsolicited messages, spam, or promoting external services without authorization is prohibited.
• Sharing Inappropriate Content: Sharing content that is illegal, harmful, offensive, or violates community standards is prohibited.
• Circumventing Restrictions: Attempting to circumvent bans, restrictions, or moderation actions through alternate accounts or other means is prohibited.

3.2 Roleplay Standards

Georgia State Roleplay is a serious roleplay community. Users must engage in realistic, immersive roleplay that adheres to community guidelines. The following roleplay violations are prohibited:

• Fail Roleplay (Fail RP): Engaging in unrealistic or impossible actions
• Meta-gaming: Using out-of-character knowledge in-character
• Power-gaming: Forcing actions on other players without their consent
• Combat logging: Disconnecting during roleplay scenarios to avoid consequences
• Value of Life (VoL) violations: Not valuing your character's life appropriately
• New Life Rule (NLR) violations: Using knowledge from a previous character death

4. Application System

4.1 Application Submissions

When you submit an application through our system, you agree that:

• All information provided is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge
• You meet all stated requirements for the application
• Your application may be reviewed by authorized staff members
• Application decisions are final and at the discretion of the review board
• False or misleading information may result in immediate denial and potential disciplinary action

4.2 Application Cooldowns

If your application is denied, you may be subject to a cooldown period before you can submit another application. Cooldown periods increase with each denial to prevent spam and ensure quality applications. Cooldown periods are enforced automatically by our system.

4.3 Review Process

Applications undergo a multi-stage review process. Review decisions are made by authorized staff members based on established criteria and community needs. Review decisions are final, and we are not obligated to provide detailed explanations for decisions.

5. Content Ownership and Intellectual Property

5.1 User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you create and submit to our services, including profile information, application responses, messages, and other user-generated content. However, by submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating and improving our services.

5.2 GSRP Content

All content, features, and functionality of our services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and the overall design, are owned by GSRP or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.3 Restrictions

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our services or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software, unless laws prohibit those restrictions or you have our written permission.

6. Moderation and Enforcement

6.1 Moderation Authority

GSRP staff, including administrators and moderators, reserve the right to enforce community rules and these Terms at their discretion. Moderation actions may include, but are not limited to:

• Warnings and verbal notices
• Removal of content
• Temporary or permanent account suspension
• Restriction of access to certain features or services
• Account termination and ban

6.2 Appeals Process

If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you may appeal through our contact system. Appeals will be reviewed by staff members not involved in the original decision. However, we are not obligated to reverse moderation actions, and all decisions are final.

6.3 Zero Tolerance Policy

Certain violations, including severe harassment, discrimination, threats, or illegal activity, may result in immediate and permanent account termination without prior warning or appeal opportunity.

7. Privacy and Data Collection

By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that GSRP collects, uses, and stores your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Our collection and use of your data is necessary to provide our services, manage our community, ensure security, and comply with legal obligations.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use our services:

• For any illegal purpose or to solicit others to perform illegal acts

• To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate

9. Donations and Virtual Goods

Donations to GSRP are voluntary and non-refundable. Donations are considered contributions to support the community and are not purchases of goods or services.

9.2 Virtual Goods

Any perks, in-game items, or benefits received in connection with donations are virtual goods that exist only within our services. These virtual goods have no real-world monetary value and cannot be sold, traded, or exchanged for real currency or goods outside of our services.

9.3 No Refunds

All donations are final and non-refundable. We do not provide refunds for donations, regardless of circumstances, except as required by applicable law.

10. Service Availability and Modifications

10.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable and continuous access to our services. However, we do not guarantee that our services will be available at all times or free from interruptions, errors, or security vulnerabilities. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily interrupt service.

10.2 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of our services.

10.3 Feature Changes

We may add, remove, or modify features and functionality of our services at any time. We are not obligated to maintain or support any specific features or functionality.

Our services may contain links to third-party websites, services, or resources that are not owned or controlled by GSRP. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services. You acknowledge and agree that GSRP shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused by your use of any third-party services.

Our services use Discord for authentication. Your use of Discord is subject to Discord's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for Discord's services or policies.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GSRP AND ITS STAFF, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, OUR SERVICES.

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUR SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR FREE FROM ERRORS, VIRUSES, OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

We are not responsible for any loss of data, content, or functionality resulting from the use of our services, including but not limited to account suspension, termination, or service interruptions.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GSRP, its staff, affiliates, agents, directors, employees, suppliers, and licensors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of our services, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any rights of another, or your conduct in our community.
